Guys

Just a discussion point at the moment, but all other units seem to have a group (Doughboys etc) and there is nothing for the Airborne guys (apart from individual teams). Is there any worth in creating a group to organise training days and/or games so that we can operate better as a unit at CiA games (I know things are improving but I'm sure we could get better).

I'm not offering to organise this, as I'm struggling to get to games at the moment let alone organise stuff, but I would be an active member and would help out to the best of my ability.

Any thoughts?

CiA will always support groups like this through the forum; plus I'd be a member.

We need a leader. Unfortunately I've got enough on my plate with CiA; plus it's a bit of a conflict of interests.

Any volunteers. Just needs someone who's willing to drive the discussion forward and formulate policy, rules and regs.

I'd suggest basing it on the Doughboys model with a minimum kit list and a drive for a little more authenticity.

As much as I'd like to organise this, my persoanl life won't allow - I'm just coming out of a divorce, I've got the kids every other weekend and I'm having to concentrate on my job (ex HBOS), so I just don't have the time. I'm more than willing to help out, but I wouldn't be able to do a lead role any justice.

Where's Webby when you need him?

Webby is also going through live changing stuff at the mo... hence why he's not around either.

I vote for Spears, he is the most "airborne" guy I know of besides Webby. :D

Odd that he's not been around these parts! Perhaps he's been lurking, sat on his hands! I'd second that nomination :good:

Hehe, it's a bit unfair to nominate someone else without their knowledge! For things to work someone has to volunteer themselves!

Nah, we do it all the time at work - it teaches people to attend meetings they're invited to

Obviously he'd need to volunteer and I don't see him being a member of Dog as being an issue - unless you're saying they're mutually exclusive!

Hi Guys,

Sorry for being absent for long stretches of time, going through the process of finding somewhere to live and the likes, I've almost completely given up airsoft whilst I'm going through this.

Not the best man for the job until things pick up!

Ok, problem solved - Steve Ashworth (Sgt Ash) has stepped up to the mark and will lead this merry band of men. I'll assist him to the best of my ability based on time and I'm sure others will chip in. What will be needed is team work and the ability to use individual's strenghts as the need arises. So there will be little opportunity for members to act as sheep and just follow.

Whilst steve and I get the fundimentals sorted we will need a name - so thinking caps on and lets come up with something that has links to the brave men that fought and lost their lives all those years ago.
