Can't help there, I could say where I've seen it on BOB, but we all know not to take that as gospel!

Yup, that's why I asked, haven't seen them in photos I don't think...I do think it looks nice though. Will do some research!

the name tag on your M1942 jumpsuit jacket, is that accurate, I was thinking about doing that myself?

So we're going for the old, not that common but it did happen occasionally type thing.

why dont you get a strip cut, and your name / knickname stencilled on, then pin it onto your jumpsuit when you want, that way you don't have to sew it on or whatnot, and can take it off for games.

Good idea, not sure whether I'd go for Spiers or Birch hmmmmm the agony of choice! Why not get both!

Weren't name tags a barracks thing - to keep your kit together since everything went to laundries also lost/pinched kit had to be paid for? I'm sure I've seen pics/vids of chaps training with scrawled or taped names.

Different guy in the D-Day AB kit? looks to have bushier hair

Some pics of my 517th PRCT, Operation Dragoon gear:

Excellent! Really good...although I couldn't do with having my M42 Jacket buttoned and zipped up to the top.
