How many of you would travel to Anglesey for a game late this year?
Woodland with loads of wooden buildings and defences, great area for the right scenario.
I have been playing on Anglesey for a good while and think it would be ideal for a game I have planned.
How many would come over if I can get the right date, the owner of the site is quite happy for me to run it with his help and hopefully his vehicles will be running then.
Please show your interest for a weekend game :)

Played at OTT in 2006 for Distant Thunder, great site, loads of space to get lost in, shame about the terential rain that caused my team to go from 110 people to 30 in less than an hour. I'd be up for this if I'm still in the UK at the time

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."

Let me know what you're thinking if you want any help with the scenario.

Ah very good! Well can you give us an idea of what it's likely to be? Or atleast which units may be involved.

German forces have landed on Anglesey.
Today it was reported that German forces had landed on the Island of Anglesey.
They have come over from Ireland with the help of Irish terrorist organizations; they have set up operations to invade the Welsh mainland and move onto England causing as much damage as they can so as to make the invasion go much easier for following forces.
British intelligence have now been informed and are taking steps to thwart their efforts along with a crack team of American troops stationed nearby, the Germans have taken over the best strategic positions on the Island and have fortified them ready for any attack.

So we're looking at Early 1944, Brits and Americans? Excellent idea mate, especially not having to pretend it's somewhere that its not.

Might have to find some non-reinforced 42's.

@ Marsha: It's not much further than when you came to Husky.

I'm tempted to let the Germans take Wales for themselves and just defend the English/Welsh border. Anyway, I suspect that it won't be long before the Welsh cakes and sheep will take their toll on the Germans and they make their way back to the coast realising they had made a dreadful mistake and that world domination isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Heh, great scenario idea Taffy - Operation Sealion but using Anglesey instead of Isle of Wight as a staging post :good:
