Saipan they used the green camo side or a mix of green camo an sage. For places like the Tarawa atol they went for all sand camo, as the island was just a big assed beach! Interestingly enough, at iwo jima the only bit of camo the marines appeared to be using was the beach colour side of rhe helmet cover. Pics from okinowa, which was the last major conflict for the marines, they appear to be in sages with no helmet cover at all.

If playing as japs is anything like playing NVA in a nam event then they certainly will have a lot more fun.

BTW, the LARP samurai sword is an excellent idea for the officer impression.

would this do

Looks more like a Ninjanto than a Katana.

My mates got a jnr officer sword from his grandad when in Burma, for some reason he won't let me borrow it :lol:

This bugs me even more now knowing I had some Japannese field caps that went walkies at angels :evil:

the japanese uniforms were nearly all done with Dickies Khaki work shirts and pants

Bloody good effort, just goes to show that you don`t have to spend a fortune to get a close enough look.:good:

There's a bloke selling three on ebay. I think he's got some M1 Garand belts as well :rofl:
