😳 Spellin baad. Trust me it'll get worse, Wait until I get a bee in my bonnet about something
Your spelling's bad? Is that why you're imp1864 when it should have been Jim1974?
I can see I'm going to have to keep my eye on this lot
warren hasn't posted much recently, so they're obviously looking for a new target.
Sorry for the necro post, but I didn't want to start a new thread just for this. How long before you hear if you have got AFRA membership? I sent off the application about 2 weeks ago, but heard nothing back so far (funnily enough bit of a theme going on here, neither suesue or SOF have sent my gear and thats been 2 weeks as well.
Drop a PM to Old 'Un please...
Pm sent. Hopefully he can shed some light on the matter.
I know that PD (of Afra) has had a backlog of memberships to get through... it may be something to do with that...
Cheers all, sadly patience is not a virtue of mine. Guess I'l wait and see.
PD has posted that he has caught up with the backlog of new member applications.
Hopefully your card will pop through your letterbox soon?
and as if by magic AFRA membership arrived today. Woo Hoo

Excellent - I told you it would
Still not got mine.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Same here, but I'm in no hurry. Need some money before I can use it to buy stuff.
Paul added a note to say of the back log, but he is cutting through them.
Yay, got my card too! (Along with Andy's and Richard's - I'll send them direct to you both)
Ours arrived today too.
Just got to think of some guns we "need" now.
My card arrived this morning, cheers CW.
Just got to think of some guns we "need" now.
The problem I have is removing the ones I don't 'need' from the huge list of guns I want.
I spoke to airsoft armouries today, They are happy to accept AFRA membership. The boss, while I was on the phone had a look at the AFRA website and was impressed with what he saw. So happy buying People.
Action Hobbys too are an AFRA savvy retailer....
Yes had a word with them as well, they require you to sent in the PLI doc from AFRA. Presently I can't get into that any one else have this issue. I have PM the site admin.
How would a retailer know I'm AFRA registered? I've registered at the site, but I don't seem to have any membership number or anything.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Now the AFRA thing is kicking in we will be trying to make all these admin things easier - just working on risk assesments at the moment, I'll move onto retailers later.
Have a word with ActionHobbies - I think all they need is a photocopy of your membership card, copy of PLI and possibly some other proof of age/ID.
Remember, not all retailers know anything other that UKARA status, so don't go kicking their door down if they refuse to sell (they are quite a liberty to refuse any sale, indeed it is a legal requirement that they satisfy themselves of legal exemption to VCRA and it's the seller who is breaking the law not the buyer).
