Just wondering if this has been done before or possibly in the pipeline for the future?
I normally reenact WW2 and the European theatre both as British and US forces and airsoft in modern gear, but I have recently finished putting together a French forces in Indo China uniform for a magazine photoshoot and this started me thinking.
I though hell i've got the uniform why not use it for airsoft! I've avoided doing WW2 airsoft up to now as most my WW2 gear is original and thus too expensive to run around in compared to works dpm! But
with the Indo gear it is mainly reproduction and is thus ideal for running around like an idiot in
Anyone else interested in regaining control of the far east from the Japs and rebelious indepence seeking locals? During the Second French Indochina Campaign (March 9 – May 2, 1945) and the First Indochina War (December 19, 1946 – August 1, 1954) (I know the second is outside the WW2 remit please don't hurt me
).
Kit for the Second French Indochina Campaign is a mix of British KD's and JG's and French / German equipment and the First Indochina War is British, French, German and US made kit
A very easy kit loadout to do! Enemy forces would be the Japanese Army and Viet Minh for the Campaign and only the Viet Minh for the War.
Or interested in the Far East in general? I know there are a few members of TFSS here!

Think this has been discussed before and there's no where near enough (none that I know of) Jap players to consider doing that kind of scenario.

I've been getting together some cheap japanese kit slowly in order to try and get people interested... but it's not been a priority.
There are however some nice deals on ebay at the moment for full repro jap uniforms.
It's certainly a possibility, but it's a long way off yet. Personally i think more Eastern front and even N. Africa games are more likely to happen before a Far Eastern game. Saying that, i'd be quite happy to play as Japanese, it's just a question of the kit being of a very low priority.
yep, its not like you can even the sides up with partisant/ resistance stuff either. easy to do for ETO, not much for the far east.
Could always have early Viet Minh forces as well as the Japs, they fought both the Allies and Japs, using weapons supplied from both sides to fight the other

well, you'd think folks would be hot on the idea of banzai charges in the dark, kills with plastic samurai swords....etc...lol..
Yup sure would, but USMC camo is simply too good to pass up. ![]()
Apart from that no one wants to charge a load of guys with Thompsons with plastic samurai swords and rubber bayonets...I don't care how loud you shout Banzai, that Tommy is going to sting at point blank range.

Still putting a French indo-China set along with Belgian Congo.
Love to get some real use out of it ![]()

All I can say guys is make it happen then.
Loads of players (including the humble origins of CiA and PBI) put on games that they want that simply didnt exist before.
I think CiA and PBI are unlikely to do a far east game for some time, we have too much other stuff on.
We'll be doing a cold war game before far east and far east before indo china so the trick is probably to find a frinedly site, write up a good game plan and offer to run the day there for them!
