First of all, I would like to say hello because this is my first post , I am a 13 year old "little rebel" I want to start some airsoft experience and here come my questions :
1. Is there a point for me to start airsoft at my age ?
2.What WW2 weapon is good for the beginning ? (I know all about the UKARA).
3.Is airsoft an expensive sport (would i need to spend more than 250 pounds in the beginning)?

Thanks in advance !

Hello and welcome. In answer to your questions:

1. Different sites have different age limits, but many do cater for 11-upwards. You will need to check with the sites individually.
2. That depends on whether you want to portray British, German, American, Russian, etc. For German, the MP40 is an excellent, good value weapon. I'll let others comment on Brit, US, etc.
3. Yes, it is a relatively expensive hobby (or it can be if you keep on buying stuff, like me). However, I'm pretty sure you could get good authentic kit and gun for that price or less. However, once you have your kit, BBs etc are not that expensive.

Have a look around the site, at the kit guides (menu at top of page), and don't rush to buy anything. Stuff that is very cheap is often not very authentic, and you will find it difficult to sell it on.

thank you for such a quick answer !
Do you thing that pullback cheap market sniper would be a good place to start out with ?
Also if my weapon is 50% covered in bright colour would i still need the UKARA ?

You'd probably be better off playing at your local site a few times with a hire gun, and then getting your UKARA membership before buying a gun, then you don't need to worry about 2-tone guns.

It'll also give you a good view of playing airsoft to see whether you like it enough to spend money on!

As far as weapon choice, i'd suggest a full-auto gun as a beginner's choice, a sniper rifle is a very specialised weapon, and needs a very particular game style to get any enjoyment out of it.

At 13, you'll need to wait 5 years until you can buy a gun.

Also, no sniper rifle if a good first gun...

There's a few father and son combinations on this forum and it is a practical way of sorting out a defence to buy RIF's. At any site which allows youngsters, your Dad wil have to sign a consent form for you to play as well, because of child protection legislation.

CiA events are for 18 and over. Some events do allow under 18's. It's just a case of keeping your eyes peeled on the "WW2 events" section.

As said earlier, your best bet is to pop along to a normal open day with your Dad and have a game. Use hire guns and some cheap DPM clothing you can pick up for bugger all on Ebay. You'll find out if you like it and, if you do, get along to a couple more games to develop your skills and awareness a bit more. After that, if you still enjoy it, you've played enough to have a defence for your Dad to get a RIF and to think about getting some gear.
