Hi all,
Just thought I'd share something I found a couple years ago. It wasn't a secret that I had a passion for this era in my family and friends, and when a friend of the family came across some old stuff they instantly thought of me! It was a original, dated, Ox & Bucks 37 Pattern BD uniform. Above the excitement, I found a little reminder that this was someone's uniform, and it took them through some tough points in their life ( a fair few patches on this uniform!). So heres what I found in the pocket, along with a lovely and rather funny letter from the lads mum.
a real slice of real life , nice find.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Very nice!
Is that a mirror? I've not seen one like that before.
Looks like a signalling mirror.
If the bottom right ticket is a ship's ticket it gives you his troopship as it is stamped "Cameronia Cinema"
