This thread has become like something out of Kafka. It is utterly insane, we have events where what is expected is clearly spelled out, we do it voluntarily, we aren't conscripted, but it is somehow OK to come along and just piss all over that. And it is all because of some evil cabal who have plotted to force 'their' rules down our throats.

Hey, lets not have any 'rules' at all. We'll all hold hands and take it in turns to 'win', because otherwise someone might feel left out and think it is unfair. The organisers are pretty good at explaining in advance what is expected, so if particular events don't suit, then don't go to them.. Please don't turn up and bugger them up for everyone else. I really don't think that is unreasonable.

Thank you.
Martin

we are involved in a mil sim type game, see how far you would get in the army if you ignore orders and went you'r own way instead .lone wolf unless as a designated sniper/scout role ,has no place in what we are doing that i can see and is best left to open days.

armoury
m1a1 Thompson,sten mk2,mp40,stg44,sterling,mk2 bren gun,lee Enfield no4 mk1,Mauser Kar98, Walther ppk,smith and Weston m10 and Mauser m712
Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

Tell you what guys, and I say this ONLY as an organiser of CiA events and not on behalf of other organisers. If you don't like the events some of us run, don't come. I'm pretty sure you won't be missed.

Good luck with attending WW2 Airsoft events where your personal desires are catered for above everyone else's.

The democracy of this poll is overwhelmingly against you.

I am done here,
I've been called autistic by captain darlin
and everything i've suggested has been disregarded

Its not even worth it.

Quite frankly mate I find you offensive, you are rude arrogant, self centred and supremely convinced that the whole universe should revolve around you and your wants and whims you blatantly broke the rules and then rather than apologising for the upset you caused you attempted to make out you were in the right and that the whole community should fall into line with your wishes even though they are opposed to one of the primary aspects that makes ww2 airsoft what it is, and when the community makes it clear that itÒ€™s not prepared to do that you carry on whining and making out you are the victim , you say you are done here, well all I can say to that is good riddance and donÒ€™t bother coming back because your attitude is not welcome here.

As organisers, we are free to disregard your suggestions though. Agreed?
If we have set up an event, put up money and invested literally hundreds of man-hours making it happen, then like it or not, it IS our ball and they ARE our rules.
That leaves you with two choices; take it or leave it
:)

I would just like to make clear that I do not think that lone wolfing is a good strategy, I just don't think that it is right for a person to be ganged up on to the point that they end up leaving the hobby all together. That was the point I was trying to make at the start but it all seemed to get lost in all the arguing.

The guy made it quite clear that he wanted ww2 airsoft on his terms and wasn't prepared to compomise, and quite frankly it wasn't ever a realistic option, so as Beds & Herts said he can take it or leave it and based on his last post he's decided to leave it.

I understand that but he's an adult and at the end of the day he'll do what he pleases, and no one can really tell him not to.

You will find that many of the players at the gunman event last weekend are also event organisers from the other groups that run events using this forum.
And we may have a few different ideas on how to do events but one thing im sure we all agree on is, we hate lone wolf and guys who dont want to follow the senario and rules we have spent many hours working on! Gunman are the only comercial events on
the forum
Im sure josh could make as much money for doing almost no work by just running open days.
maybe respect the work the organisers put into the events by getting into the mind set of ww2
or use your skills at an open day.

Please don't take this the wrong way but how old are you? the reason for asking is that at 53 I've been an adult for 35 years the notion that nobody tells me what to do is utter fantasy, my employers tell me what to do, the state in many different guises tells me what to do, banks and other financial organisations tell me what to do and so on and so on

I know that as a young person the thing I used to hate having said to me was 'you'll understand as you get older' however as an older person I completely agree with the statement.

I'm 16, I probably should have put it like this.
None of you, who have no authority over him can tell him what to do.
I hope this clears things up.

The point that seems to have been missed is that by signing up for an event that specifically requires you to act as a unit and follow orders you are agreeing to do just that.

I think this thread has served its purpose, perhaps it should now be locked?

@ pete 59: Yes fair enough I get what your saying but basically if he wants to act like a dick, he can act like a dick, no one can stop him.

And yeah, I agree this thread has reached the limits of the discussion... so it's locked. If anyone has comments to add, pm a moderator to get it re-opened.
