Well, this is what a Fliegerbluse looks like.

Quite different from what you bought.

There was also a four pocket tunic (waffenrock?)

see here for an example of one: http://www.johnnyg.westhost.com/u233.html

Correct, although not worn by ground troops such as Fallschirmjäger, Luftwaffe Feld Divison, etc.

The bundy tuchrock material in the picture from Rooster isn't the correct type for WW2.

However, this is WW2 airsoft and it could be doctored to be a junior officers jacket. The material is too good to be an EM.

It could be worn as LFD late war when any branch of the Luftwaffe could be there - FLAK (Red) for example.

It all depends on how far you want to go and your budget.

Christ do these go for £30?

I've got about 20 of them and was only asking about £20 a piece on here a while back... got matching caps too.

As above, it would do as an officers jacket. In which case you'll need to...

get rid of the cuffbands
get some officers shoulder boards and matching officers litzen
replace the buttons

and that will do, assuming you don't want to do any more sewing than a few buttons.

Epic do all the bits you need.

i wasnt actualy planning on using it for FJ impressions, im thinking of doing a cheap downed luftwaffe pilot impression using moden aircadet trousers+ flying jacket for open day skirmishing. So by Junior officer what sort of rank are we talking? Lt?
Gadge, I honestly dont know how much theese go for i could have been ripped off but i did like it so bought it the shop i bought it from was also selling Swedish Tunics for £20, and other shops in Manchester were selling Swedish ones for 30-40 quid. (one for £65, selling it as "orginal WW2 German jacket") Orginally he was charging 45 for it but after seeing my Under 16's rail card he put it down. The shop i bought it from wasnt a Militaria specialsit it was just one of thoose shops that buys clothing for 10p at a jumble sales, and sells it for £10 in the shop. He probably thought it was orginal WW2 due to the chest eagle.

As a rough rule of thumb... any 'original' wwii german tunic that isnt priced in the *hundreds* is going to be a repro/postwar one.

I think £40 for a swedish jacket is well off the mark.. a tenner perhaps, sabre used to have them in at a fiver. £20 might be reasonable now, they might be getting scarecer... then again not that many people want them now it's easy to get good repros.

As said I was selling the lufty ones on ebay at £9.99 starting bid and a £20 BIN with caps for a tenner.. I might revise my prices :)
