Hi guys,
I don't know if this will be of any interest to forum members, but after being made redundant, I decided to bite the bullet and do something I really enjoy doing. I have set up an online Photo Restoration Service. As part of the services, I have a military family history photo section offering restoration and colourisation. Like most of us, I'm pretty keen on military history and being off a certain age, my father and uncles served during WW2. If you have any old military family photos of fathers, grandfathers or great grandfathers that you might like to get restored and colourised, have a look at my site -

For a no obligation quote, fill in the Contact form and upload your scanned photo (see the scanning guide page). The cost is based purely on the complexity of the restoration and the time taken to complete the work . For an idea on cost, have a look below at a recent photo I completed from a guy in Mannheim, Germany, of his grandfather. Time taken to restore, retouch and colourise was just over 3 hrs and cost for that was £35. It might sound a lot for a photo, but you only do it once and you've got a digital file to pass on to your future generations.
Thanks for looking.
PS. Thanks to admin for letting me post this in the forum
That`s a bloody good job you did with that pic. And for the time taken, £35 is a bargain.
If you aren`t a member already then it might help your venture to join the ww1 and ww2 forums and offer your services there ....

Good luck

I'll have a look at those forums.
A few months on and things are picking up. Most of the military photo restorations have been from guys who've got the family medals and are getting them put into framed boxes. Most people get them done at their local frame shop, but having looked into it, you can get some decent medal display boxes on ebay which will cost you about half the price of a frame shop. It just means you put your medals and a picture in the box yourself. I've posted a few of the photos I've done for people below. If you've got any old family pics you want doing, give me a shout at https://www.photowizard.net/contact or PM me. Mates rates for forum members
Nice work buddy
Cheers Slick and thanks for looking guys.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
