Some of you might remember Jeff Ooi who was a Malaysian descended Aussie living over here and playing airsoft with a Heer impression.

He's been back in Melbourne for a few year and has worked on Pacific as a 'Japanese' extra including a lingering shot of his dead body next to a tank which he hopes won't end up on the cutting room floor.

By the way, you should all try and see Atonement for it's awesome five minute tracking shot of Dunkirk, filmed up at Redcar. (I worked with them on this when it shot in Shropshire in 2006.)

I can't wait for the pacific war to come out, it sounds excellent. I like the sound of a prince of persia film too. hope you have fun out there.

I've seen Atonement and thought it was fairly average but the Dunkirk scenes were excellent, should have used more.

thanks guys!
i worked with the young girl from Atonement on City of Ember last year and we all went to a screening of it, AMAZING film!! The dunkirk scene was a 10 min shot using a steady cam, the opperator did it twice then passed out on the third take, they are FU--ING heavy, I know, ive tried opperating one.
am making all the metal swords and action props and other metal fabrication (no sfx for me on this 1! he he), me and Aitch were on the shortlist to go out to do some pyro work on Pacific war, but never got the call  all my mates out there said i would love it! AND 14 months in melbourne!!!! 8) YES PLEASE!!
will try and stay in touch while out in Marrakesh, if i can get internet access ok

Go for the evening buffet at Hotel Ali for great views of the market place...
Go to Mr Ali Stall #36 in the evening food market for great fish n chips cooked in front of you
Try the fresh orange juice
Go to the big posh hotel where Churchill stayed (can't spell the name but it's the only four star in Marra) as it was the only place to get a beer when I was there

Whatever you do, don't drink the water / clean your teeth with the water / open your mouth in the shower! And if time permits, Hotel Ali does amazing trips through the Black mountains and into the Sahara.

Have fun - Marra was the best part of Morroco I visited by a long way!
