Hi all
A chap who I invited over from Germany to attend Jedburgh has got flights he can't cancel.
I'm looking into using a site somewhere near Birmingham for a little mini-game or training day and wondered what the interest would be in coming along. The price would be the costs of the green fee with nothing too much on top. We could even put in a little pyro order if people wanted to pay a little more for that. We could also try and swing the site for the obligatory social the night before.
All factions would be welcome and we can basically run some short games and have a bit of a go at some training scenarios. Pete Dunn will hopefully be in attendance so may be able to give some of his sage advice.
If anyone is interested do let me know of this thread. It would be a shame for someone to fly 1000 miles and not have an event to attend, which is why I'm trying to put this together.
Failing that, we could go to an open day somewhere en masse.....

Lots of people can't make Pete's Battle School because of Victory. I'm sure that some kind of training day would go down very well. Plus you don't need big numbers.
Only way I'd go to an open day is to remind myself how much I hate open days 
. (presumably you want to give this bloke a good impression of the UK, right?)
EDIT: considering how restrictive airsoft is in Germany a regular open day might actually really float his U-Boot.

Are you thinking of Saturday or Sunday ? I'm 99% in regardless of which day. Also, I may be able to russle up a few WW2 virgins who won't have your high standard of kit (not that I do !) but will be enthusiastic amatuers and are all starting to move from being Vietnam nerds into being WW2 nerds. Depends how strict you want to be on kit / weaponry. Everyone will make an effort as they are all either reenactors from different genres or live action roleplay people, but none of them have full on pukka kit yet.
I'm not too stressed about kit. This is more about giving a guy travelling 1000 miles a good WW2 experience.
Will know what day once I find an available site!!
