Saw this airsoft site and wondered whether anyone had been there before?
It looks like an interesting layout and could provide a good site for a future game.
Just read a thread on the Gunman forum which said the Marshalls were a bit of a cock but a very interesting site none the less and given that there are no marshalls at CiA events that wouldn't be a problem!

I'd like an opinion from the Mods apart from anything, don't know what they'd think about it.

Someone I know who played there described it thus: "It's like Airsofts own version of the Crystal Maze"

Regarding WW2 games, he reckoned it was totally unsuitable for the purpose.

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

Fair enough, just seeing what peoples opinions of it were. Yeh Pirate ship wouldn't be great would it...

Bloomin' 'eck. I remember going to there when it was the earth centre as a child with my grandmother. I retain a memory of a particularly Yorkshire interaction with nature which involves lots of ponds.

but no useful memories beyond that, looks like they kept all the building and kiddies play ship.

Played there - it has potential but, not as a WW2 site - too many modern looking structures and a pirate ship (very gay).

We only played on an open day, so it was a bit pants, but the site has the right ingredients for a good modern milsim day. The marshalling does leave a little to be desired (people in hi vis jackets following you around even if you're trying to be tactical and marshalls using grenades to help change the way the game is going), but I'm sure it'd be different on a none open day.

Its worth a try if you play modern - its cheap, easy to get to, and food is included.

However - they only allow the use of true bio ammo (not Excel), they will happily supply it at £14 for 5000!!!!!! At least Dick Turpin wore a mask!

I saw that site being reviewed in Ai:Mag. It looks interesting, but definatly suited to modern play.

I hate marshall's that think they are above the rules of the game. So if they are being dicks i will tell them. Regarding BB's i think the price is a bit steep especially if thats the only stuff they allow and sell. It might be saving the planet, but i'll still need to earn money to pay for them.

LOL ....CiA were months ahead of you .... 8)

It's the old "Earth Centre " . I'm sure it would be a laugh for modern day but it is in no way WW2 . We even considered some sort of 1950-60's Boys from Brazil option since it looks quite jungley in parts ...but there are other better sites more suited to our needs .

Can't comment on the marshalling but knowing TAG Cerberus from old , they are a good bunch of lads . :good: I'm sure it would be an entertaining day out .

PS there was quite a good crazy golf course back in the day as well ....

Well it would be good for a Survivors reenactment game since some of it was filmed there. :D

If the buildings were used in game I think it would also make an ideal setting for a terrorist/hostage scenario but there is no ww2 potential there as far as I can see.

I shot there on the grand opening and the site was good, peeps in charge where nice enough but let down by refs (yellow vests) and poor senario's in the morning. Cheating was bad too, spat the old dummy a few times sadly! :ghey:

Its got some great features but isn't Urban.

hope that helps.
