Hey just got off the phone with Soldier of Fortune, to chase an order i paid for over a week ago.

Word of warning for anyone looking to order over the coming days. They are over a week behind on orders, so can only garantee quick deliveries of Next day items.

My item is only just getting shipped out today and i ordered it last monday.

So if you want it for the wkend then use the next day delivery feature. but then i've heard of next day items not turning up until days after recently.

I always use the next day option as it's only £1 more, depending on when the order was placed I've always got it the next day or if the order was placed late afternoon the day after next.

It depends on the weight and cost of your order. As to whether its £1 more or not.

Taken this of there website:

Order under £30 and weighing less than 1 kg £2.99
Orders over £30 or 1 kg £6.50
Next Day Delivery (Monday to Friday) (order must be placed before 2pm). £7.50

I have never had anything on time from costa fortune. Its usually about 10 days before stuff turns up. Thats why I always use epic, if I can. Just wish julian would get garand bayonets in.

problem is they do have certain bits which are hard to get elsewhere, with the dollar/pound FUBAR, stuff I used to get from the states, I can now only get from SOF.

I agree, totally ridiculous turn over rate considering how much they want off you in postage costs. Ordered folding stock on 6th Jan, I phoned up on the 13th trying to find out where it was and he said it had been sent on the 12th. Not impressed with that at all, if it wasn't for the fact that some items, like you said' are harder to find anywhere else then I'd be telling them where they could stick it...Up their arse :good:

I ordered some stuff last week and still haven't got it. I can remember when SOF used to get stuff to you next day, even when you didn't pay the extra! How times change eh?

Yeah when i asked for an explanation as to why its taken over a week to actually post the item. They didnt apologise, they just said they'd been very busyand it was first come first served.

It states on the website that if there are any issues or delays with orders that people will be contacted...Where was my phone call? Summer last year i could order something and pay 1st class and it would arrive in 2 days.

Its a real shame.

Well the item arrived today and now im returning it cos its useless. Bought the Airborne tactics and technique's manual. I thought i could use it to learn some tactics to use against jerry. But you need a code book to decifer the text. Really bad reproduction sold to me for 10 english pounds.

i dont count it as txt speak. I only use 'U' instead of 'you' as its quickier. Its just how my generation roll's. I dont go in for all this replacing letters with numbers malarky, cos thats just plain weird.

Its just shorthand.

Its the CiA forum rules that count and as far as we're concerned using "U" for "you" is "text speak". Sorry!

Yup i was just trying to give you a friendly 'mod nod' but here's the bit in question.

"Please note that the Comrades in Arms forum expects registered users to post responsibly and thoughtfully.
This forum is read by people all over the world and has a high reputation which we would like to maintain.
Text speak, over-abbreviated words, capitalised text and unpunctuated text is not only very hard to read it is impossible for search engines to make use of."
