Sorry there aren't any more but I was too busy enjoying myself!
I also heard nothing but praise for our gamesmanship and tactics from both sides.
Hope to fight with you all again soon

Looking good chaps.
Great fun, looking forward to the next time.

nice one lads, just had a load re-enactment chaps over at Tudders this weekend for a private battle dressed like you. They were fighting russians! would that be AGS?

Looking amazing guys
you actually look like a proper german section and you're not all tricked out in camo...
Feldgrau for the most as it was.
We should have a PBI match against you guys!

Good pics (I look marginally less
than usual).
Moment to remember -
Bravo Team Leader: "I dunno about you guys, but I came here to WIN !!"
CiA Contingent: "Erm...we just came to dress up and ponce about with weapons that are totally impractical for an Open Day".
Great pics Shokt!
A very enjoyable day, nice meeting up with some old friends and meeting some new ones too. As shokt says, nothing but good comments from all the open day players, lots of interest in our kit and weapons, I have about 5 guys wanting to have a shot with my P38
A good days P.R for WW2 airsoft i'd say.
A pleasure to play along side you all, mein kameraden

So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."

It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."

What a great day, and i think we look the biz. ![]()

And I have to commend you on your Gebirgsjäger kit, Welsh - top notch mate.

I was very impressed with Boshman's K98 scope / mount setup. Can you give us the details of how you did it?
Oh how i wish i could have been there! - even just to show support but im not even allowed to drive at the moment... and the friend who was going to give us a lift backed out due to weather forecast. Verdamt englanders! You look fab guys!
Thanks for that Andy means a lot, took a lot of getting together with the help of Sandy (stof) on here so now there are two of us as
Gebirgsjäger.
...and Steinlager makes three!

Bad luck old chum.
We did wonder if you'd turn up and cook us some lunch. Despite the forecast of heavy showers and wind, it was a lovely day - it all blew over during the night.

How did you guys fare against the hi-cap masses? Get shot a lot? Get a lot of kills?
Also, can we have a L-R names to faces on this photo please?

L-R: Stof, Steiner, Welsh, Bedsnherts, Bosh, Steinlager, Boshman.
I had my trusty MP40, and whilst I didn't get an awful lot of kills, I certainly wasn't outgunned. There is a lot of cover at GZ, so much of the day was spent sneaking around. I think BnH struggled a bit with his K98, but that was mainly due to the 30m rule - it was rare that targets were engaged at such a long distance. The biggest difficulty for me was identifying friend from foe - you only have little coloured plastic tags attached fore and aft.

It's not a very rifle friendly site unfortunately. I only had one opportunity for a hit when the Swamp Thing sneaked out of undergrowth in front of me. A lovely 10M pistol kill, or would have been if there was any gas in the mag ![]()
I cheated in the morning and used my g36 with hicaps and got a couple of kills. Switched to the MP40 with midcaps in the afternoon and actually hit more people. Got shot 3 times myself, so all in all I didnt find the MP40 a disadvantage. The site is thick with rhododendron bushes so the engagement ranges arent huge.
Had a great day out with a good bunch of guys.

GZ certainly isn't a site for rifles in most places. I found that out at Haggard, whe I had no full auto weapon with me.
I used a revolver for a lot of haggard and found the terrain dense enough to get a few kills.
