I will bring it along. You can choose on the day.
The LFD jackets have the snazzy Luftwaffe Eagle on them so look a bit more FJ like.
In the Carentan video plenty of players on both sides have rifles, so I don't think a K98 would be an issue. I just want to use my MP40 as I hasn't been out for a while.

Can`t believe they cancelled another event and now out of pocket for the hotel along with others.
I just looked at their facebook page and it says they can`t put on a game with less than 30 players I get that being an organiser myself but I was just about to book another 2 slots and we were bringing 12 people!
Not sure that I will be booking another event with them.
I know they were trying to drum up support for the event they were even giving £5 off if you booked upto today??? I would be miffed if I had shown support and paid full price for a last minute guy getting it cheaper. No idea how to organise the uptake if you know about this you just hang in there to the last minute and get a discount. No wonder the event doesn`t have the numbers.
Maybe they are in the market for some tips on how to run and event 🤫
I guess thats what you get when you try and organise on the book of face and not on a dedicated WW2 airsoft forum which has a great track record. Oh well put the kit away now
Another event cancelled, not doing much for creating a loyal customer base. Maybe if they promoted them game better!

Oh bloody hell. I'd got as far as getting all my gear out.

It doesn`t inspire confidence in the organisers, or in general interest in WW2 airsoft. As others have said, this forum used to be the central point for communication and very active, but even during the latter stages of the old forum there were a few games cancelled due to lack of numbers. I`m not sure what the answer is.
I was tempted by the game to the extent that I got some kit out, but in reality it was just too far away as I live at the arse end of the country. In fact most places where games are held are at least a couple of hundred miles away from me. To make it worthwhile it would have to be a weekend event, maybe arriving late Friday and leaving Sunday morning or afternoon. Added to that is the cost of fuel to get there and back, balancing that against game cost, I could be spending £200 or more for a weekend which makes it a reasonably expensive hobby.
Frontlines next WW2 event is in July at a cost of £80 for the weekend, but looks quite odd as any nations "WW2 loadout" is suitable.... a bizarre scenario....
Edit: as an aside, for anyone who has Heer kit but wants a slight FJ look for a game, a simple "looks like" solution are olive coveralls (ebay - buy one or two sizes larger than would normally fit)). Pop them on, mark them at the knee cap point, cut them off at the marking, then hem them with a sewing machine or hemming tape so that the legs finish just above the knee cap. Once on they are a close enough look to the mk1 "knochensack", and there are photos of FJ in normal Heer helmets.
From looking at the chat on their FB page, it looks like they've had some personnel changes, so things are bit chaotic atm. Oh well.
