Trousers are incorrect (i'm sure Craghoppers weren't around then :p) as my HBTs are in the post. Also, shoes are incorrect...i dont want to buy any footwear until i've tried them on (footwear is the only thing clothing wise i will NEVER skimp on, hence me wearing Merrels)

I need a first aid pouch and either a mag pag or a mag cell pouch instead of the green thing i have at the minute. Also would like a scrim net for the helmet and possibly the backpack thingy and then i think im done. Im not bothering with a shirt, A, they are too expensive JUST for airsoft (i wear the jacket elsewhere) and B, a t-shirt works fine for an impression too.

I must state i don't reenact, i airsoft.

Is there anything else that i need/could change for the Rangers impression?

You could do with a Ranger patch and maybe some rank chevrons, it's perfectly passable, good impression, you could get one of the assaultvests? Also have you tried getting one of the British army shirts? They cost about 3 pounds and look fine...

If you use your kit just for airsoft, I'd say that's pretty darned good once you get some boots :good:.

Yep, need the patches. I was originally going to not bother as i'd wear the M41 jacket elsewhere, but i think im going to buy a second one to use outside of airsoft...i tend to destroy kit :p

Gadge, isn't that Sten sling going to strain/pull the mag housing catch if you leave it like that?

Possibly, its been fine for six months so far though. The alternative is attaching it to the barrel shroud which is likely to shear the whole thing off as its attached by one tiny screw.

The trick is not to actually put the weight on that end of the sling.

I rarely have it slung anyway.

The normal place to put it is the barrel shroud though... I don't think I've seen one go in the way you describe yet! :)

Yeah obviously I know how it supposed to go, its just there is a little bit of a construction integrity difference between a real sten and a toy one ;)

Through the shroud on the agm one and its just going to sheer off eventually trust me. The mag well is far more solid.

I've even reinforced the barrel/shroud join with a sleeve of tape to reduce any movement but its not a strong join, ideally it needs two or three holes drilling in rather than the one 4mm depth screw it currently has.

When its accuracy vs not having a wrecked gun.... working gun wins every time i'm afraid.

I'm not sure, but I think mine has 2 screws. It's the NiMH in the stock version.

Besides, if you have the facilities, drilling and tapping deeper holes is possible. There's enough metal there to do it. Maybe even enough to put bigger holes in.

Besides, if you have the facilities ...

And there we have our first hurdle, I have neither the tools nor the skill - I'd only end up wrecking it.

In the second pic, in the background is there:
(a) A PortaCabin toilet?
(b) A German urinating against a tree less than a couple of meters from the said PortaCabin toilet?

I am afraid it is just a regular looless porta cabin, so the German is in fact being polite by not urinating in it, if that is indeed what he is doing.
