That US look is more or less what I'm going for Gadge...
As shocking as it sounds, I've always fancied doing a US Infantry loadout...but I'd want to wear that assault vest a la Tom Hanks in SPR and they were only provided to the Rangers weren't they? And they're quite expensive, unless you fancy an orange one..in which case SOF all the way

Great kit there imp. Nice to see someone do an infantry loadout. Its on my list of things to do, next year.
Very nice, Pat.... now I'm going to have to shoot you!
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
cool Andy. Are you feeling any better?
Thanks to all for the comments. It'll look a bit better once I get the boots. I have a garand belt and a Thompson 30round bag on the way.

Whey ! thats what im talking about more of the fighting first im still scraping together bits an bobs to upgrade my kit to make it look more used and authentic.
Is that a musette bag on your back because I thought the infantry used the doughboys pack, somebody correct me if im wrong
Oh biiigggg touchy slappy fighty debate on arnies about this. I belive you are right, the musette bag is a bit of a stop gap, till I get the dough boys pack.
Yup Doughboy pack, not Musette that was for the Airborne...not sure why, is it something to do with how they wore it when they dropped? And the fact they had a parachute on their back? I dunno.

Looks good imp
When we were a Kingdom it was run by a King
When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........
Unbelievable, isn't it!
Yeah I'm having problems believing it as well...
To a degree it's because I have almost everything I'll ever need for brit stuff... I was starting to investigate into ladies stuff for my wife... heh!
I needed something else to collect... and my Jap stuff wasn't going anywhere fast!
I worked out how much it would cost to get a full US loadout taking into account the stuff I already have and it wasn't too scary at all...

Its because the Musette bag can be unclipped at the bottom, thrown over the head and worn on the front whilst the chute is on the back. Once on the ground and the chute dumped, the Musette can be thrown back over to its proper position. There is a scene in BoB (the Holland one) where this can be seen.

Yes that's what I was thinking, they wore it between their legs for the jump then slung it over
