I am just putting together a new website dedicated to the WW2 airsoft genre.
It will be independent of any one game organiser and the intention is to raise the profile of WW2 airsoft and encourage active participation in events in the UK.
Any one can submit their game information without fear or favour.
It will also have product reviews and kit guides as well as information on suppliers and WW2 events that aren't airsoft related.
There will be a small core of contributing editors but everyone is encouraged to participate by submitting articles, product reviews, photos, game reviews. Websites are more accessible and easier to find things than forums so as well as being a portal it will hopefully appeal to non-forum people. The website won't replace a forum, there won't be live chat, but it will direct people to where everything is happening.
While I am heading this up, both running and facilitate the site, I can't do it all by myself and it will need active participation by you the players. I hope this venture will stimulate more people to have a go at WW2 airsoft and re-vitalise those who haven't been for a while.
So, more news soon but in the meantime if anyone would like to contribute then drop me a PM. I need gun reviewers, game reviewers, world and local news ferrets etc.

I hope you will still be on this forum quite a bit, don't take on too much ![]()

Free speech is expensive these days!

Heh, no change on the forum front for the moment. But as with this forum so the website - while I am running, maintaining, hosting and funding, the actual content is largely the work of others, anyone can contribute, that's what makes it work. ![]()

Sounds good, i'd be happy to contribute what (little) knowledge I have to this
As you say, anything that raises the profile of the genre is a good thing for all of us!

Hopefully, in time, it will have the content of a wiki but rather warmer and friendlier - wikis can be such stark, dry places. ![]()

PM incoming...

This sounds awesome, and i am sure along wwith most people if not all on here that any help that can be given will be forthcoming. I am for one only too happy to add any assistance.
Nice one fella, making lists and plans now...

Hi Dave
Echoing one or two of the above posts, sounds good and I'd be more then happy to get involved/contribute in whatever way I can
Super, thank you all for the offers of help - should be some interesting things coming up soon.
I'm specifically looking for someone who habitually trawls the interweb on both foreign and UK airsoft sites and forums. A flow of info on new kit and developments would be great, snippets, rumours, and of course fact would all be cool. A virtual roving reporter. ![]()

For news on airsoft guns coming out and whats in the pipe line, ill ask a few retailers who 'play' WW2 airsoft and are in the know with whats happening in the idustry to put together a monthly? news reel. Could be fun if its done in an old school feature

Well, things are coming on nicely. All the kit guides are up (one from Wladek still in the pipeline) along with upcoming game info.
Two brand new articles, one by Steiner entitled "So, you wanna do German?" http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/so-you-wanna-do-german/
and another by BedsnHerts entitled "Dem Nartsees is EEEvil" http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/dem-nartsees-is-eeevil/
Nice work gentlemen.
Also some other 'commissioned' articles by others are being written at the moment.
I welcome other's contributions too - if you have an idea please run it past me first before starting writing so we don't get duplicated effort. ![]()

There is a US Infantry kit guide coming very shortly...

And lo, here is Craig's US Infantry kit guide:
http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/us-infantryman/

"the crotch is poorly stitched and can lead to embarrassing ribbing for us larger of frame individuals"
"This quite cool to do but was used on rout marches. "
Those are funny enough that I can pretend they are on purpose right? and not typos?
Wel, I don't think you typed it accidentally!
