Just my personal opinion but if I could make it I would not be comfortable wearing a military uniform on rememberance day.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

I'll contribute to a wreath too.

I'm planning on going and I'll be wearing a uniform, something respectful and understated: best BD without any bling or ammo boots and with a black tie. I might be the only one, I might not, but I think Tim would have liked it.

Cheers
Martin

You're right of course Martin, my British kit is a bit of a mish mash but I'll see what I can dig out. The only other option I thought of was my sand Afrika Korp tunic, that may be less controversial. I'd like to respect Tim's love of all things German but wouldn't want to offend anyone, what do people think ? I'd forgotten it was remembrance day.

Hi guys,

I ordered Tim's red and green wreath through Interflora this morning and it will be delivered to the Funeral Directors on Friday morning in time for the funeral in the afternoon.
They asked what I wanted to put on the card, so I put -

To Tim,
We have lost one of our finest and you will be sorely missed by all who knew you.
Respect from all your mates at The WW2 Airsoft Group

I just did a quick count and there are 11 of us who would like to make a contribution. I originally suggested £10 a head. The wreath was £70 which means we would have £40 left.
I thought as Tim's funeral is on Rememberence Day, we could donate the rest to The British Legion. We play at it, they did it for real and suffered the consequences. I'm sure Tim would approve.
I'll pm you contributors and give you my email for PayPal (could you please send your contribution as a friend or gift)

Cheers

Great, thanks for organising this. £10 a head is very reasonable and the British Legion an excellent cause.

I'll wait for your PM for the payment details.

Cheers

Agreed ,the wreath is for those who cannot attend and the donation to the Legion is a fitting tribute .

£10 sent. Wish I could have been there but sadly it wasn't going to happen.
