Decided today to re-blanco a 37 patt belt that I had lying around. Problem was it was covered in that horrible waxy blanco that was issued in the 50's, however a bucket of boiling water, a scrubbing brush, and a high powered jet wash soon got the goop off.
Also celebrated my birthday today, woot!

Sounds like way too much effort. I recommend soaking it in a bucket with Vanish Oxy then put it through the washing machine.

Today I....
Had the kids officially recognized as German citizens and picked up their new Kraut passports from the Embassy - whilst humming Tomorrow Belongs To Me.
Today I had a trial erection of my spiffy new German command tent (bought on the dubious excuse that they are currently on offer at a third off and that it will be damned useful at Jedburgh where me and offspring can sleep in comfort overnight and I can do commanding things from in the day).
As wifelet was holding up my sagging erection and I worked on stiffening it up (no instructions, I had to work out the best way of starting then tensioning) she started babbling how big it was and how a camping holiday would be cheap and we could even go to France it dawned on me I might have made a horribly mistaken purchase. I don't like camping and only do it because I have to as part of my hobby and in any case wifelet has never camped in her life.
Heh, I thought, I'll bluff this out.
