I spent a happy Sunday morning rubbing wet, gritty earth all over my Stahlhelm and gas mask cannister.

The fun never stops.

Cheers

Spent the day 'shadowing' staff at the RAF Museum library and archive as part of a work exchange - handled items such as Douglas Bader's original log book! Amazing stuff! :good:

Took the Mp44 and ATF Pea dot for a run out at an open day at Lincolnshire Airsoft site 2.
Both worked well, the MP44 holding its own very well against the M4s.
Bottled out on the .25s and stuck with .2s.

Also went to an Open Day yesterday (at Pheonix). Having SLR withdrawal so went in my Falklands RM Commando loadout although I did have a play around with my No. 4 as well.

Interesting chat with Dave and Jeff re running WW2 games at their new Welbeck Woods site if/when it ever actually opens.

Cheers

Fitted a new rear exhuast box to my Astra as one of the hangers had rotten off *whoops*

...only to then find that some little shit this evening has dented-in (like kicked it in) my rear passenger door!

Believe it or not they are Clarks shoes - £75 online, available in tobacco, grey and ebony. OK, they are only slightly similar to low boots but I'm liking the Derby boot/work boot thing of 100 years ago that military boots came from...

Do you mean The Bless? Heh, I used to frequent The Blessington Carriage in the 1970s, it used to be my son's haunt and now my daughter has adopted it!

Yup, indeed!
I won £50 worth of drinks vouchers! First time I'd done the quiz there as well...

....and now my daughter has adopted it!

Went for a run and nearly died of heat stroke. Very good for the soul no doubt.

Time for curry and a beer methinks.

Not today; but yesterday.

Me and Kraut went cycling in The Hurtgenwald, 45kms. Of which 22.5km went up and the others went down.

Seen a lot of bunkers, trenches, commandpost-holes and other WW2 remains.
