Spent the pm with some Plash and some ropes trying to turn them into a tent.
There is a bit of an art to it and I need some more time but it's getting there.
What seem like strange details in the design of the plash and the rope make complete sense when you put them together.

Nice pic Ranj! Before I bothered to read your description below the pic, I found it hard to tell if it was a period pic, until the 'tour' signs were seen

Fisherman's Wharf?
Yes, unfortunately I didn't have time to go aboard, we were just passing and I ran down and snapped it.
Considered making some moulds for US demo charges but remembered I still had to finish the spoon and fuse for the Mk II grenade I have.
Applied Heer decals to my M35 German Helmet - All ready for Sevastopol now!
... Finished my webbing blancoing. Looks great with my BD now.
Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.

The guy with the belly wound.
Many have been waiting what seems a long time to see this, and it was worth the wait for me I must say.
I know there is a lot of footage that didn't get in this but it looks a good edit.

Finished restoring my camera case.
Before: Rotten stitching and dry leather:
After:
Did you replace the strap holding the d-ring on or just glue it?
I need to do my camera case as well!
Totally new pieces of leather holding the D rings on each side, riveted in place. I'm not sure if the original had D-rings but I have a zeis-ikon case with them and thought it was a good idea as it would put less stress on the strap. I had to take the D section wooden blocks out of the case which were glued in to do it and I can't say I enjoyed tearing them out.
If you need any 3/8" D-rings / buckles for yours I have some pare now.
.... tried on my '49 pattern battledress trousers which hitherto I have been unable to fasten the top button or waistband and so relied on braces to maintain smartness and modesty. They now do up properly and is a rather pleasing by-product of wrestling with a stomach ulcer for the past couple of months. Not only that, it means I don't have to buy a lardy size of repro trousers at Stoneleigh next week, so that is £55 to £95 of scarce disposable income saved. Hmmm, I might put that towards a pair of Lennon boots I have been lusting after...
The question is do I now put my new pair of larger German trousers up for sale and revert to the old (smaller) ones - or keep them in the certain knowledge that in time I will 'grow out of' my old ones and need new ones again. I have resolved to keep the blubber off and I have cast iron self-discipline, but even so...
