Got made redundant. It's an odd feeling, after being 20 years at the same place.

Sorry to hear that Andy, I remember you talking about the possibility at Combat South, hope something turns up for you soon.

Offering same sentiments as above Andy, I'm sure you'll be grand :good:

Also for your viewing pleasures I finished off my home made Portapiumetto today as originals seem to be like rocking horse poo, getting there with my italian kit now!

So I guess you fill the leather pouch on the side with birdseed and then wait to get the feather effect?

So sorry to hear this, Andy. I hope you're leaving package is a nice tidy amount to happily 'see you right' until you step into your new job :good:

Finally got a chance to try my cut-down Great War puttees with my knock-off mountain boots.

I think they look about right for height, :D

Managed to get my no 4 to shoot where the sights point to

Why do you always carry that umbrella?
-Bad memory. Never could remember the password. Knew no Jerry would carry one. Had to prove I was an Englishman, you see.

Overhopped and even after hop up change up shot straight... a meter over where the sights were (about 20m range). Did a LRB mod for it and managed to get sights and BB to the same place.

Did it take a VSR hop rubber?

Glad it's shooting alright.

Ah, changed the chamber only to TM VSR one, my friend who specializes in bolt action snipers only had a chamber, not a rubber. I'll see how the Varmint one performs, and then see about changing it. Some manufacturers provide softer rubbers for lower FPS guns I think? Marui would prob be optimal, but the prices are so high :(

Started painting my P07 bayonet. I also started work on a scabbard for it. Construction is basically a felt tube with 2 bits of card down the outside for shape, then bog roll and PVA.

Looks good, mate. :)

Today I spent two hours of my life sat by the side of the M25, in 30 degree heat, with my 88 year old grandmother after her car broke down. AA were run off their feet. Seems to have been Official Breakdown Thursday.
