Today I put on my full webbing and tunic and had a run around the garden to get a feel of what it'll be like to wear while airsofting. I got a very strange look from my neighbour who decided it best not to say anything and carried on about his business.

Can't wait to see what he looks like when I do the same after my stahlhelm and trousers get here.

Regards,

Ralph

Just make sure the straps are done up tight and it will be fine. German kit sags most unappealingly or even falls to bits in use if it is loose (or even a tiny bit slack).

I recall seeing a wonderful sequence on TV of a drill sergeant at Sandhurst giving the office candidates the benefit of his views on slack belts.

Cheers

Took the hop rubber out of my PPS K98 to see if it was why it was pulling to the right massively. Found it was splitting in places and had a lot of flash. Installed my standard rubber from my WE pistol as I know its working. I do have a spare maple leaf monster rubber I might fit. Anyone tried this in one? Any recommendations for a good rubber?

Am pretty sure SOF sent me the wrong bottle of blanco, and it's gonna be huge hassle to get the correct one.

Why do you always carry that umbrella?

If you've ordered KG3, and your webbing is now a disappointing shade of shiney grey - that's SoF Blanco for you. Some people swear by it - I however, swear at it...

The sof liquid blanco needs a lot of shaking to mix it up but after its mixed I've had good results ,I wouldn't say I swear by it but I got put off s+s liquid blanko because I dropped the plastic bottle and it shattered ...on the living room floor ,up the walls ... The contents may be better but the fragile bottle caused me grief .

Finally got around to making my entrenching tool that did'nt fit together, fit together with the liberal use of a hammer and Dremel, also got the No4 spike bayonet and scabard de rusted and useable, fits very nicely on the S&S No4,resisting the temptation to use it for toasting marshamallows at the moment.

McVickers & Dadio: No, this just clearly not what I ordered. Last time I ordered "midwar", looks okay(ish). This time ordered "1944" which is supposed to be closer to KG3 (and a bit darker). What I got makes the webbing natural webbing coloured, maybe a shade darker. I would guess they sent me WW1 or "natural" colour blanco.

Edit. Comparison. Lower is 24h ago blancoed with the new one. Upper is a year ago blancoed "mid war". This is their own colour-chart

Yes, that really isn't right, it does look like they sent you their 'sand'/'natural' Blanco. At least SoF's customer service is usually very good. They may well send you out another bottle free of charge (at least expect them to).

Today I got my repro stick grenade in the post. Very chuffed!

EDIT: I've just found a real use for the grenade. If someone doesn't take their hits at the next Skirmish game, I can throw the grenade at them instead! I'm sure you'd feel a big lump of wood cracking you in the head!

Regards,

Ralph
