Today, by endless trawling on Ebay, I managed to source another 8 shotgun magazines for my M1 Garand. They really are like rocking horse s**t at the moment.

Loaded the van, too much gear as always. I console my self that it's not all for me.
The last job was to clean and dubbin my boots.

Today I...

realised that the oldest bit of kit I have for Boryzyn is the little screwdriver that I keep to tighten up screws on my RIFs. My Granddad lent it to me for my Meccano set in about 1975 and it probably dates from the 1950s

...and marples tools are still going strong, now run by williams grandson tony, who is a mate of mine and lives two streets away. his son sam( who will take over the company one day) is in the same class at school as my son james.

at one point my little girl said, which ones you daddy?

my little boy pointed me out no problem, but said, " theres dad, hes wearing that skirt"

silly little sod thought the trenchcoat was a skirt, i cannot convince him otherwise, god knows what the parents at school are going to think if he mentions that one :slap:

Ordered a ridiculous amount of Polish movies on WWII... This is why most people write on things that the library has.

Bought a second hand DE M50 bolt action to use as a pattern. Along with the elusive 1" diameter router bit which I had to order specially from the US, I might finally get around to making some cheap lookalikey Lee Enfield front ends. :D

Made myself another set of K ration boxes and tried a new template for an M1 Carbine ammo box.

It's big enough to fit 2 magazines in, real and airsoft!

Should I have a pin cushion and start making 'Bless this Mess' fabrics too? :P

BTW, that ammo box looks pretty sweet!
