Just spent the entire afternoon searching for my large battery. Bloody thing had slipped out of my bag and wedged itself between two boxes in the cupboard.

Scooped a bargain !!! Purchased an item that's listed for sale with a good German retailer at €45 (I've seen it listed elsewhere for similar and sometimes more  ). I paid £13 posted from other source

Made a rough estimation of an MP40 out of a piece of copper pipe, several pieces of wood, some gaffer tape and corrugated cardboard...don't ask...

Been having major problems with my aeg, have stripped the entire thing back to component parts. Just about to desolder the entire wiring loom.

Got my Thompson working again after it broke yesterday.

The main issue was that I had two half springs in there rather than one whole one! ARGH!

I also had to replace some metal bushings that had worn away.

Unfortunately the only spring and bushings I have were both standard marui, so now it's only doing 260fps... but at least it works!

Chrono'd my MP40 for Op Freshman, out of 6 rounds the average is 302.3 fps, so I'm happy that I don't have to take it apart and put a new spring in :happydance:

Have just got back from the bank. On the way home, I passed a local scrapyard and saw them cutting up the rusty hulk of a Sherman! Complete with turret, wheels and tracks (no gun).

That was what I thought! Unfortunately, I don't quite have the space or the tools to restore a Sherman!

I should have. I have a box of springs in my workshop. One of them should fit.
I'm just off in to rivet my a frames to my M1 liner.
