2nd, but that includes all the time I spent looking for tools and resoldering the wiring loom and building and adding a mosfet. plus fitting it all and realising I'd forgotten the trigger! Plus I was being extra vigilant as I wasn't sure what was up with it.

Took apart that pesky V2 and rebuilt it with no frills. Still nothing.

Finished off my M1 Carbine ammunition crate.

Is it the one with the butterfly screws? Been wanting to make one myself to put my M1 carbine ammo boxes in :)

Nope, unfortunately it was a stretch of my wood working skills to make a standard crate, that didn't look like a 2 year old put it together...so no butterfly screws. Still look boss though, will put a pic up shortly...incidentally making another one today!

got a call from my sons headteacher explaining that james would be an hour late home from school as he would be in detention for falling asleep in a RE lesson , during a video about islam.
when i asked if every muslim child who leaves the lesson ( i.e. ALL of them) when they are learning about christianity , will be in detention too, there was a pause..............guess what, thats right. no they wont.

i leave you to draw your own conclusions , i dont want to get into anything controversial or leave my self open to allegations of racism.

Muslims aren't a race Nige. I have this debate at work all the time, they're just another religious group. RE is compulsary at my lads' school. I've told him it's ok to do the bare minimum necessary to avoid detentions and I've had numerous arguments with his "right on" RE teacher.

Nige, send a nice little letter to the Headmaster, explaining that as his school is operating a policy of discrimination on religious grounds you feel that you have no option but to complain to the LEA and the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Then also add that you feel that such an issue should also be brought to the attention of the local press as well.

That will get results - as he'll get a load of shit landing on him from above, if not for the school's policy itself, but for someone kicking off about it.

The way to avoid accusations of racism is to ask why the schools policy does not seem to apply equally to all students - regardless of religion.

Whats a £100 pounds when every man, woman and child in the country owes 23K at this govt current rate of borrowing!

Lt. Morris Schaffer: "Second rate punk," eh?
Major John Smith: Sorry. All I could think of on the spur of the moment.
Lt. Morris Schaffer: Thanks, that makes it even worse.

Today I fitted a Cutts compensator to the Thompson, converted 10 shotgun mags for the Garand, and finished the inner mag housing conversion for it.

Not bad going. :D
