for those who are none the wiser
as a younger (some would say more foolish) man, i tried speed/amphetamine on a few occasions.
the name is well deserved, you feel sooo quick and mentally alert.
as a passenger in a car doing over 100 mph , i kept looking over and checking the speedo, as i thought we were traveling at around 30mph (no ecsaduration)
you can run and jump for several hours, as long as you take on LOTS of water
but the bad effects=
the "mouth full of cotton wool" , acheing joints, headaces and 8 to 12 hours "downtime" when your recovering are awfull (unless you keep topping up the dose, under which case you can go 36 to 48 hours, you could maybe longer but i never tried.
I DO NOT CONDONE OR RECOMEND TAKING THIS DRUG AT ANY TIME.
and while im on drugs, let me say this
Lots of my army colleuges used to swallow/ sniff a gram of speed/amphetamine before a CFT, (combat fitness test). and on long patrols in ireland. IT WORKED, as in they were more active and capable of exhersion, but not mentaly "with it" 100%
as for drugs testing i knew over 40 regular(daily) "SMOKERS of weeds" over 20 of those did speed and extacy, about 15 did coke and 1 did heroin later on (SPECIFICALY to get kicked out)
we had a regimental drugs test, which 11 lads who never used drugs pourposfully refused to get kicked out. morale was rock bottom due to a manpower strength of 40% of troopers but 2 sargents corperals for every job, and all of them delegating their work to the troopers
THE REGIMENT PASSED 100%
then the guy took the heroin and showed his arms to the sqaudron OC, because his canabis/speed/extacy use wasnt enough to get him kicked out.
