As far as i know, there is very little, if any shops that sell repro stuff. We obviously have quite decent antiques places with Lincolnshire being bomber county, such as hemswell, horncastle, etc. Alas I have seen one maybe two repro items around these places in the last 10 years, so i recommend the internet!
As for cheap load out, well the best thesis, which is ome resounded on this website is, buy right, buy once..so to speak. Instead of kitting out cheap, just buy the right thing slowly. When i did brit i got a few bits of webbing, borrowes the rest, then blouse..borrowed the rest, then boots and helmet..borrowed thr rest you get my point. I was eager as well too but i was persuaded to do it this way and im glad i did, saves money and its more exciting!
Hope this helps
the above advice is good , get a little of the right stuff at a time , barely anybody comes to their first game perfectly dressed in all their own gear .the kit guides in the menu along the top give lists of kit for each impression and a selection of web shop's to get them from . get what you can, select a game and there will usually be a kit borrowing thread (as well as car share) and post up what you need .if you start out at a gunman game then Josh has free uniform to use and that can be a real help , also feel free to ask stupid questions about how it all should be worn as it can be a little confusing and it saves time before a game if you know how to dress yourself

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Hello and welcome, Paul. There are a couple of guys on here from Lincolnshire. I echo what previous posters have said: build your kit up gradually. Here is my kit guide: http://www.ww2airsoft.org.uk/so-you-wanna-do-german/
First priority is the Feldgrau uniform.
Nobody will shoot you down for asking any questions - we like to help on this site.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
yup there's somebody on here who can answer any question you can think off , and nobody's going to shoot you down for getting something wrong , i constantly make mistakes , it's part of learning .

To echo the comments above, there is often loan kit available and you can start small, although I am sure we've all rushed out and bought stuff which needed replacing later with the right things.
Steiners kit guide is great, and if you really want to get all your own stuff then the minimum is a field grey uniform, some sort of hat (ideally a helmet), a belt, ammo pouches and some sort of bag to put your bits in (breadbag or similar).
There are some forum members from Lincolnshire, but I don't think there are any organised groups I am afraid.
Cheers

Just to be clear, whilst we may not shoot you down about your kit; when you turn up for your first WW2 airsoft game, we will most likely shoot you...
Plan everything, shop around for the best prices/quality, never be afraid to ask for advice. It's tempting to buy everything in one go and splurge a small fortune, which is what I did, but that often leads to you getting kit that is either, frankly, shite, or simply wrong. It ain't a cheap hobby (though nothing like as bad as some,) so buy once, buy right. It can be pretty easy to part with your money.
Just to echo what's already been said, check the kit guides. They're absolutely superb.
Then crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentations of the women.
