Was going to put this link up in the British kit forum for how closely they resemble Ammo boots, but these are potentially useful for any WWII impression. They come in brown, but maybe you could stain them black with repeated generous application of polish and/or black leather-grease (Someone more experience in colouring leather offer any insight?) and thus get yourself some very well made ammo boots for just over £30.

Note: as it says in the description, these boots are made with room for heavy winter socks, I have a pair of later (1950s) Swedish ankleboots and can confirm that without insoles there will be a fair bit of windage if you wear regular socks, be prepared for this.

I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.

Brill, just picked up a pair, thinking they will also do for my Italian impression, so that's always a bonus, thanks for the link :good:

Virtually identical to the South African army boots we pick up on this side (less than 10 quid new).
