Has anyone had dealings with these guys http://www.cushmanpaintball.com/replicaspage.html Im thinking about getting a lewis one and putting some internals into it

looks good ,also thinking of a lewis ,my only concern would be strength in the rough and tumble world of airsoft im not sure i would put money on vacchune formed plastick being strong enough.but a definate option when you look at the detail on the reciever on a lewis.

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......
a problem shared is a problem halved ,but an advantage shared is no advantage at all
if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well

They do offer a thicker version of the plastic.

Looks interesting.
To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"
Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Resistance is fertile
This has been discussed before but, to let you know, Cushman stuff is crap, unfortunately. A couple of people have managed to make working airsoft guns out of them - someone on the U.S forums made a BAR and I believe Mi-go-a-go-go on here has an MG42 lookalike based on a cushman.

When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
I've seen some in the flesh, and unfortunately, they're a bit on the crap side.
Because they're vac-formed from a real weapon, they're rounded and not too detailed on the outside. They look fine from a distance, but close up, not much good at all.
Jup i have both a mg42 and 34 lookee likee...ee
The plastic is vacformed around the real steel so the guns are everso slightly bigger and the 2 halves of the gun fit together inside each other. Vac forming also means that fiddly bits become brittle in the process so you get sent some little bits to re stick.
Both guns simply have un modded china soft AK's in (and Army and a JG Druganov) so the bodys have been simply PU glued ontop with some cuts made and unsecured uppers. With a ak mag hanging out the bottom.
I got my Cushman bodys when the £/$ exchange was ace so didn't feel ripped off.
Would i reccomend it as a skirmishable weapon ?
No as it lacks the ability to be thrown around like those made from real steel components and fabrication.
It is however a easy and quick way to make a prop, that on the field people gleefully shout MG42 and duck for cover
(gods i love our crowds gamesmanship[) just dont expect to be taken seriously in camp.
Would I make another ? if my 2 got totally knacked!....... yes i dam well would cause i've enjoyed em but i would make much more use of fiberglass and ridged plastic to strenghten them.
And wait till they are that bit cheeper.
As regards to the other kits the BAR is virtually impossible to make well, the 30 and 50 cal i never saw the point in as you may as well make your own. Though i shall admit the Lewis does look intresting

This is their big problem and the biggest teller aginst them well said that man.
If you decide to go ahead and do it anyway pleeease keep us informed its great to have anything different on the field especailly a support gun it makes the realsteel and low cap die hards duck for longer
snigger. we always need bigger guns However there will always be some sharpshooter with a tanaka to take you out (be warned it hurts)
Good luck
