I was wondering if you guys could anser some quetions for me, 1st what web set would the airborn have worn at this time, 2nd what helmet do i need, could i use a standerd one or do i need the para one. I have started by buying my airborn jump suit and Stormtrooper Ade has kindley gave me a real deal helmut.

Any advise would be great.

The webbing was mostly the pale khaki colour known as OD#3, very close to the colour of new British WW2 webbing. later in the war a more green colour was introduced OD#7.
Many paratroopers used a pistol belt and kept ammo in what are called rigger pouches, local made basic pouches closed with a lift the dot fastener.
These are held up with combat suspenders, shoulder straps, that clip to the belt.

have a look at some of the photos here and you will see all kinds of set ups. Use these as a guide for your load out. A rummage at a surplus store might turn up suitabe belts and pouches. You can spend a fortune on accurate webbing, a ten pocket garand belt is not cheap.
you can use a standard US helmet, again it will set you back a few quid to get a replica with the A frame and leather chin strap.
It depends on how commited you are to you impression. Do you want it 'right' or just near enough for a skirmish?

Hi,

Like Tomostar I am new to this forum, but the other way round, I have been WW2 re-enacting German & Brit for years, only been airsofting for six months, this site combines both.

It gives you complete flexibility, I think.

Are the uniform rules set in stone. I have Fallscrimjager kit, green smock yellow collar dogs, does that exclude me from HG,or is the green smock to close to US colour, or I have Heer uniform with a tan & water camo smock. will that pass for Waffen ss and Heer...

Any advice welcome.

The HG Pz Div had bits and bobs from all the services, Any Uniform from any arm should be ok, later they tryed to standardise the uniforms but their was never enough LW Uniforms.

Having said that I Dont think FJ served in the HG PZ Div, but im no expert on the Lufty stuff.

Hi mate, nothing is set in stone here. We welcome newcomers and fully realise that they might not have the correct kit - a good effort is what is required, with certain obvious items not allowed, like modern camo, or vests, webbing etc. I'm sure with your background, your gear will look great.

As long as its a WW2 German or Brit uniform we don't mind for our events.

BTW, if you're thinking of coming to the Arnhem game then please could you consider going as Brit?
