I cant comment on the redditch site as ive never played there. I guess where there's money to be made, there's people holding out there hands.

As you must of missed it, if you get your money in before Jan the Road to Caen event is only £65 and thats due to Dave Mannings nagotiation for the site who also makes a living out of Airsoft to be fair. I'm realy not interested in personel issues 
The Road to Caen game needs long roads, woods and a hill which I have been told Redditch has all off! perfect!! the rest is for me to do...set dress, senario to write and so on. We're not greedy at GMA and make our living from running quality skirmish days twice a month, not events! The events we do for fun as much as turning a few quid in the bank, so much so I set up another company for all the events as all they did was boost our turnover with very little profit. Got to keep the VAT man away 
I'll happily pay for a site if it will give the right experience, hence forking out £3000+ for longmoor! and i'm doing it again next year!! no idea what though 
It is a shame so much of the good woodland area is owned by paintball or shooting clubs though. UK airsoft could do with more permanat sites to run games on, due to the nature of the game and many styles of game play and senario, we're always looking for something to suit.
I heard that Shooting (game that is) might be on the list for Lords to look at, never know! Think of the sites we would have then

Didn't "miss it" at all Josh. My personal issues with Mr Manning are my own and I wouldn't clutter anyones' forum with them, all I'll say is just be careful he doesn't do to you what he's done to other site operators and retailers after he's got what he wants from you.
I'm bored with being negative about this Redditch game, after all, I won't be coming to it anyway. On a positive not, I'll almost certainly be at the "full" Caen game and will try to get as many of the 9th SS to come along as well.
