Site looks awesome, I'd definitly be up for a bit of North Africa action, already got my FJ tropical gear :good:

I'd suggest a Tunisia 42-43 scenarios so you can have brits, yanks, French (Vichy and Free), Germans and Italians involved!

“I wanted to come to the Volga at a specific location at a specific city. By chance it carries the name of Stalin himself. So don’t think I marched there for this reason – it could carry another name – but because there is a very important goal... this goal I wanted to take – and you know – we are very modest, we have it already."
Adolf Hitler, November 1942

"Comrades, Red Army men, commanders and political workers, men and women guerrillas! It is on your perseverance, staunchness, fighting skill and readiness to discharge your duty to the country that the defeat of the German-fascist army and the liberation of the Soviet land from the Hitlerite invaders depend! We can and must clear the Soviet land of Hitlerite vermin."
Joseph Stalin, November 1942

Personally I think it would be better if it was kept to British (& commonwealth) vs Germans and Italians. To me North Africa was a British campaign and I feel the game should reflect that.

Josh you say you can get suitable look a like Brit gear and the german equivelants are cheap enough (take a look on Epic) so there is no reason why people should be put off by lack of kit. Plus tropical gear is easy to put together as the supply lines of both sides were always chaotic so the use of temperate and captured kit was common. Tropical gear can be mixed and matched with temperate gear people already have to obtain a suitably shambolic look.

You could still base the game around the fighting in Tunisia as Boshman suggest since the site looks a good match for it and it would fit with the rag tag look of the players. I just feel the game would benifit from slightly tighter themeing than you usually opt for.

I would be happy to go brit only and have no probs with sorting guys out with look alike Kit;) I agree about NA being a brit campaign for the most part, these games won't being marketed the same as the D-Day, more in the line of the Secret Missions events :good:

hehe... warren.. no probs! I happy to be enlightened!

It probably derives from something like "head-bandage" or somesuch... lol!

Edit...

Did a google... yup confirms it... though interestingly sometimes it appears that pagri just refers to the material rather than the turban itself... Hmmm...

Site looks better suited to a tobruk style game, with it having quite a few buildings, the Americans predominantly fought in the mountains and in the deserts in north africa, and were there for a short period of time compared to the brits.
