‘Operation Vengeance’
Secret mission of WW2
November 7-8, Harmer Green Scout camp, Hertfordshire.
Only £55 pre book only! No turn up!!

SITE DETAILS http://www.gunmanairsoft.co.uk/sites/hertfordshire/

It’s February 1945 and Hitler’s Vengeance missiles are still pounding Great Britain. However since the Dutch factory which manufactures the liquid oxygen to fuel V-2 rockets was destroyed by the RAF in January, the production and ability to fire the missiles is slowly coming to a halt.

Allied Intelligence at Bletchley park has picked up a coded communication from the Nazi high command to a testing site in the Black Forest. The communication speaks of a new V3 missile that is almost ready for deployment. This missile is smaller, faster and still has the big payload of the V2. It can also travel some 400 miles and can be fired from the back of a mobile launch platform.
It’s not known what fuels the missile or where the fuel is coming from, but is a major threat to all the allied advances to Germany and has become a priority one.

Event details

This weekend will kick off at 10am Saturday morning and play through till 6pm in the evening, where after we can all enjoy a social at the fort.
Then continue from 10am Sunday till the end of the Operation or 2pm, which ever arrives first.

This will be a none stop battle on the Saturday with a number of short brew ups in the field, that doesn’t mean the game will stop and goggles must still be worn, however no objectives can be captured and operational movements are halted until the end of the brew up.

Player places available
30 allied places, 15 for British and 15 for US.
30 German places of assorted regiments.
Due to the nature of this weekend, we must run on a first come first serve basis and pre-book only.

Allied mission brief.

Both British and US forces will have their own HQ’s based just outside of the game, though they fight as a joint task force. First the British forces must capture the Valley Bridge at Linach and hold it as the escape route for the Allied forces. Meanwhile the US forces must push on and establish a CP north east of the bridge at an old look out post.
When both units are ready they need to recon the area and get the German positions marked on their battle maps. There are many objectives all over the Black forest area that need to be taken out before the search for the V3 launch site can begin.

Once the recon is finished, the allied command can decide the order in which the targets can be destroyed and get cracking. 1st up will be the Germans communications lines, then MG nests, Pill boxes, mortar pits, anti tank and flak batteries need to knocked out. They have until 6pm to destroy all the obstacles surrounding the launch site and set up their ambush.

All Launch site objectives are for the Sunday.

Sunday, the V3 convoy will be escorted to the Launch site at 10am Sunday, the rocket will be tested at 1pm, which gives the allied troops only 3hrs to complete any objectives left over from the Saturday and complete their final objective.

Like the real war, both the Brits and the US forces have their own agenda for Sunday and though working together, this will lead to some interesting role play.

The fuel being used is a main item of interest to both parties.

German mission brief.

To defend all the objectives and hold up any allied forces long enough for the rocket test to take place. The German troops have control of another bridge further down the valley and have an HQ the other side of it. Their will be limited CP’s in the field so both sides will have to work very hard to hold onto what they have.

Both the Allied HQ’s , the British bridge and forward US CP will be live in the battle but as in all the ww2 games the HQs will be safe from capture. Only command authorised attacks can be made on them.
The German HQ is the safe zone and will be out of game.

Both sides will be given ammo crates to carry in the field for re-loading.

More Intel to follow…
