I think this is the Newcourt Pony Trekking Centre that Ed refers to in the directions, in which case quite a bit further south than Llanigon and closer to Velindre.

I'm happy to share fuel costs with you David. Or, leave your motor at my house and we can go in the wife's 4x4.
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
myself and Jay will meet up at petes at around11 if ok with that?
Why are you both travelling up there?
thought we were all going in one vehicle. no odds we can go direct instead.
I need to phone the farmer tommorrow to confirm . Ed won't be coming .
OK, what sort of time do we need to get there then?
It's about 90 minutes from my house.
Spoke to Guy this morning, he suggested we get there for noon - I'd agree not later than that to give us enough daylight hours. He is ringing the land owner tonight to make sure we are still expected on Sunday.
OK. Do you want to get to mine for 10am? That leaves plenty of faff time too.
ok have left messages with farmer so will assume no probs for Sunday . meet at 12 down there ?
I've just discovered my MOT expired on 2nd Jan! I've got one booked for Wednesday next week but I think that means my insurance is void. So, rather than take the risk of passengers and a long trip is it OK if I bob down to Stephen's for 10am and travel to site in either Pete's or Stephen's car?
Aye, either way's fine with me.
You can always blame the lack of MOT on the snow...
I'm not sure that will wash with insurers, they find any excuse not to pay and no MOT is a big excuse (not to mention points on my clean license!).
Anyhoo, I'm hiring a transit van tomorrow and the place does MOTs so they will do it while I'm out and about. So assuming it passes - it had better do, I've just paid £300 for a couple of tyres this morning - then I should be OK on Sunday!

you should have a 30 day grace period with your insurance after the mot runs out . My friend last year wrote off her Jag when the mot had expired by a few days, after the insurance mucked about this little know fact came to light . No idea though how the plod would view it ?
I unwittingly drove around for 2 months without an MOT!
I could have sworn they sent out reminders - perhaps that's just road tax? If they don't send reminders they should. How on earth, in the billions of things to remember, is anyone supposed to note that insignificant event. It was only by chance, when searching for insurance and license for the van hire, that madam discovered the old MOT cert.
The garage I get my MOT done at send reminders out.
Slight change of plan - I'll go to Pete's house first, pick him up and bob down to Stephen's (I'd sort of go past Pete's to get to Stephen's anyway).
Is that OK?
Yep, fine with me. With this shitty weather, the option of going in the wife's 4x4 still stands. What time at my place, Dave?
When I want your opinion - I'll tell you what it is!
29 mins from yours to Stephen's - at yours 9.30?
I think we will see some sunshine on Sunday!

Cool, a lie in! Despite the weather predictions, I'll still take my goretex jacket!
