Ok, after cleaning up all my stuffs, i found some trousers that i must have bought for WW2, however they have a slim white stripe down the side?
They have some German gibberish inside, that GCSE German didn't cover, and a stamp inside that looks like it says "NVA"...
any ideas? and would these be any use for WW2?
Thanks
George
Aha!
Found a picture, apparently they are East German trousers. Would these be any good for WW2?
Well, seeing as they're a different cut, made from different material, a different colour, and with a stripe down the side, I would say they bear little resemblence to WWII kit.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Good if you want to build an NVA uniform for a cold war event though

No, just baggy ill fitting Strichtarn with those horrible nylon buttons.

But OK for a drinking uniform.
"ill fitting" and "nylon" are the cornerstone of all things DDR.
Genosse,
These Trousers are not part of Parade Dress, ( you wear Boots and Breeches) but Stabsdienstuniform ( Staff Service Uniform ), (Großer) Gesellschaftsuniform und Ausganguniform ( (Greater) Social Uniform and Walkingout uniform), they are worn with Black Shoes.
