I've had a chat with the site owners I know and sorted a date when we can meet up at a site in the midlands. The date is Sunday 6th April, the site is Hilton Park, between Wolverhampton and Walsall.
This will NOT be a training day as such (we will do some skirmishing if time allows and that's what people want and can think of a suitable "theme"), it is an oppurtunity to meet and greet, sort out kit, try out different weapons, discuss our plans and future directions, compare kit, etc. This will be for KG SS and potential recruits only, so we have no distractions. If any other "group" would like the use of the site on the same date for a similar purpose, drop me a PM.
What do you all think? Any suggestions for an "agenda"?
I'm not interested in massive numbers, or anyone saying "i might be able to come", etc. Some level of commitment is required.
Edit - Rather than add this in the thread later, where it could get missed, I've confirmed the date and approximate numbers with the owners and have negotiated (again) a £10 green fee. This covers our insurance, a hot lunch, plus tea & coffee on tap all day. Everyone will need to fill in a discalimer form on the day but that's it. I think it's great value.

Directions to the site. I'll assume everyone will be using the M6.
Get off the M6 at Junction 11.
Take the exit on the island signposted "Willenhall" (it also says "Hollybush garden & aquatics")
Follow this road for just over a mile, there is a set of traffic lights, go straight on.
After the lights, there is a turning on the right - Hobnock road, take it.
At the end of Hobnock Road is a mini island, turn right.
You will go past Willenhall Rugby club on the left and the gates for Essington Fruit Farm on the right.
Now, the important bit, as this is where people can go wrong
About 20 metres after the Fruit Farm, is another turning, with a house and a gate, you need to take this turning (It may have a no entry sign but just ignore it). PLEASE close all gates behind you! Follow this track (the fruit farm will be on your right as you go down it). It can be a bit bumpy, so take your time (I have been informed that the track has been improved over what it used to be like). You will cross a single lane bridge over the motorway and the track becomes a metalled road again. Just follow this road to the end and park up, there is a proper car park there now. I'll already be there and will show you our little "area".

That's why I've asked for replies to be in by Thursday Del, the site owners need to know as well. Great to know you'll be able to come. Obviously, I could sort out later dates than these but I thought it best if we all met up sooner rather than later, as we need a sense of direction, not to mention numbers!

and would certainly want to be there
Just to point out 20th is D-Day + 2 game (and so I won't make that date)
The other two dates are fine for me.
