This is not starting to sound good... in fact it is starting to sound positively bad! 
Unfortunately, Pte Angel did not want the promotion, so is currently undergoing Field Punishment Number 1. The British Army always gives you a choice.

A high rate of attrition amongst ORs is a sacrifice I'm willing to make on your behalf.

IIRC FP No.1 was abolished in the 1920s, however if you want to do it, go ahead.

If this is the rate at which the Brits promote their NCO's & SNCO's before battle, I look so forward in helping them choose further "field promotions" during battle courtesy of my MG42
