Rifles will be an excellent choice for this event. The quarry is very well sheltered from the wind and the very minimal foliage means you have excellent fields of fire and won't get your shots blocked or deflected by leaves and twigs!

recon my son will be on the bren while i use my no4 as he finds it hard to cock,i also seem to have taken a mouser m712 of an italian oficer to use for close up and personal as the no4 is around the 450fps mark and is enough to make a jerry weep at close quarters

Sten or "captured" MP40 in the event of any technical probs.
Thompson 1928 or No.4 depending on chrono and battery. Also S&W M10 if I use the rifle.

Obviously I was too busy reading the malingerer's guide to post up that yes, we will be bringing the bren plus a sten plus an mp40.
