Do you long for a WW2 experience that reaches the parts other games do not reach?
Is your average skirmish not enough?
Do you want to try and experience what a 1940's infantryman went through?
Good! Then read on........
The idea is that if the above applies to you or your group, then by adding your name(s) to this register of like minded players, organisers can see who and how many players are interested in this type of game format.
This is not my team or organisation. I'm not trying to run things! But what I am trying to do is help get this type of game off the ground and established as it is something I want to play
So, if you are interested in a more emersive type of game play and want more out of a game than emptying countless mags at ww2 uniforms, simply reply with your forum name stating that you are interested. Hopefully, we may get some significant numbers which may help get a game on!
Thanks for reading guys!
To clarify, I'm not a game organiser! I don't want to become another cook spoiling the broth! All I want to achieve is to help likeminded enthusiasts to come together and help make our hobby better
My idea was to establish a foundation of players, willing to commit to and support these "niche games" that organisers can depend on.
So many of these games have fallen foul of poor numbers and cancellations. If we can use this group to better plan and fore warn players of games, then we should be able to get them off the ground Perhaps we can also use this as a tool to address individual and group concerns re game dynamics etc
We have over 20 names already which should give us the nucleus to achieve exactly that. And if we all take some responsibility to "sell" this genre to friends and other players, well then we could be potentially looking at 30-40 attendees (wishful thinking or just good old positivity )
I hope we can leave past events and politics behind and look forward. Just because things failed in the past doesn't mean it always will. It WILL work if we want it to. We all have to take ownership of this initiative and put into it what we can. But please leave past agendas and issues exactly there...in the past
It's not an ELITIST section! If you are interested in this game type, the request to join. Simple.
I was going to put up topics such as "travel transport" "Kit loans" "best months to put a game on" etc to see if we can generate all the info we need to make an event successful
Please, please don't think I am in control of this section. We all need to contribute and drive it on. I'm happy to help liase and bring things together though. So, come on chaps... let's get this thing back on track!
If we can work on a majority decision when deciding things (we all have to be honest and accept we won't be able to make every game! That's life!)
Johnny, this is all a positive step, I think. Look at all the people who are interested, after just a couple of days.
Now chaps... if you're interested in events that are immersive and not run-of-the-mill, then let's support them by attending.
You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Seconded Andy
The more we can coalesce support and help the actual organisers make sure that all their hard work isn't wasted the better.
I have a small skewer hidden in the collar of my jumping jacket, and a razorblade in my gaiter, as well as my knife.
