Yes, iirc the smoke Lt Winters threw to cover his lone charge on the SS battalion in BoB was red/purple.
Coloured smoke was pretty common in WW2, for signalling.

I believe chemical weapons might be frowned upon by the organizers and its very difficult to measure the fps .

What are the fps limits for this site?

I believe bolt action guns can run up to 500 fps with a 30 m MED. 350 for Aeg and 400 for dmr. DMR also likely to have an med, but couldn't tell you off top of my head.
