Does anyone know anywhere where I could get a suitable torch from?

I believe (and may be very wrong on this), that British forces did have similar torches to the Germans, so you could get one of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SWEDISH-ARMY- ... 2018138866?

Maybe isn't 100% right, but it will give you the right level of lighting that a 40's torch would do.

Commando's also had access to the American torches too. These are paratroopers with the Tl-122 flashlight -- attachment is not available --

Also here is a british copy of the german torch called "Lamp Electric no4" -- attachment is not available --

Regards,

Ralph

I'll go for one of the Swedish ones I think, cheap and cheerful, thanks guys.

It is interesting to see those paratroopers with the American ones, but repro American ones are at least tenner! :giggle:

I'm going to get the American copy I reckon. As for badging up I'm happy to go for whatever really. Still not 100% on what I'll be wearing either BD, Denison or jumper.

Ralph

I'm not going to be badging up, Commandos didn't tend to on raids and especially not the smaller ones (at least that's my excuse...).
