What a shame Helga isn't on this forum these days, we will have to email her.

Mmmmn, I'm so tempted by a Lt Gruber role but that would mean buying more kit - perhaps I'll settle for a camp-ish SS Major?

Heh, I snuck a fair bit of 'Dad's Army' into the Hauptman Horn so I'm looking forward to an essence of Allo Allo in this game. Now, who is going to have a go at It Ain't Half Hot Mum?

Yes this is the game to get all those grease guns for now you have the excuse for the wife :slap:

Field phones could be good to have on this, but I do have a re-enactment mate near here with a German sentry box and phones.

May also use some radio gear on the US side but not set on that yet.

The French resistance side will be fun remember there will be a big language barrier between them and the US :giggle:

Damn me but all this talk of camp German officers in Breeches is getting me excited :giggle: ... I may even have to consider donning the old peaked cap for this.

Not just because it is spending the day swaggering around, drinking wine and sitting down.

Ok, it is mainly that. :D

This sounds like a good excuse to get our best German uniforms out.

So, who is going to be Herr Flick and von Smallhausen?

Allo Allo was a spoof of Secret Army, but I can't for the life of me remember the names of any of the characters in that.

Cheers

Never mind von Smallhausen, I think the organisers should making a concerted effort to fulfil the Yvette, Maria, Mimi and Michelle Dubois roles (but I'll be damned if Tiny (Rene) gets all the action). :D

A great series.

I think it was Brandt and then Reinhardt in charge of the Luftwaffe and Kessler as everyone's nemesis from the SS.

Albert Foiret and Monique ran the Cafe and Lisa/Yvette and Natalie were the main couriers although there was also the veggie man Alain and the SOE/MI9 agent Curtis.

Bernard Hepton (Albert) and Christopher Neame (Curtis) were both in Colditz too and it amused me, but probably no one else, when Brandt and Reinhardt (actors' names allude me for now) turned up as fellow monks in Cadfael.
