Right, done the recce today, with Stu's help. Have walked about 3km in the process! In order to fit everything in, it's going to be a long day! It'll be a very early start on the sunday (around 0600hrs!) and finish around 1700hrs. At the end of it, people should be in no doubt whatsoever if they'll cut it as a Jed'.

If anyone has them, we need about 6 PMR radios. I'll sort out the targets for the jungle lane. Other things that will be useful, if anyone has them to bring are....

Compasses.
Binoculars.
Water jerrycan.

Having "seen" the day as I walked the site, I'm getting pretty enthused about this now.

I've got circular card targets. 6" wide ones.

Got a couple of compasses. One modern Silva and a plastic lensatic.

BTW, Dave, do you have a Denison that I could borrow at all?

Don't worry about targets Steve, I've got Figures 11 & 12 plus "huns head" targets. Stu is sorting out some fibreglass target boards for me.

I've organised the schedule so it's easy to rush something a bit, or drop it altogether, if time is against us.

Has anyone got a BFG? I quite fancy booby trapping the loggers hut we'll stop at to do the signals lesson .

A trip mine would be nice. I'd like to rig it so that, when the door is opened, it goes off. Should put them on their toes thereafter as well!

If all, or most of us are going to the T.D, can we have a short meeting/chat about Jedburgh as well? Seems like a rare chance for us to be together.

I've sorted the targets, target poles, string, etc for the pistol shooting and jungle lane. Also bringing spare knives, compass, ponchos, bino's, etc for people to use. I don't think that webby, mcvickers or wraith are going to book now, the tossers, so, we'll have 8 punters. This will give a good student/instructor ratio, if nothing else.

Don't forget the bfg as well Dave :good:.

50/50 on this. Depends on the new lass really. Will know by the end of the coming week, but i'm not that far from the site on Saturday anyway.

FYI, I've told Scott (Snyper) that I'll refund him if he can't sell his place, which looks likely.

Lardy has pm'ed me about last minute booking. I'm ok with that but don't want to post up on the open thread and, he can take Scotts' place. As far as I'm concerned, booking is now closed and f**k those who let us down (webby, etc).

FYI, the site owner wasn't in when I called him, so it'll be tomorrow morning before I speak to him to confirm numbers.

Questions:

1: What time are we meeting on Saturday? I can't be bothered to trawl through all the threads!

2: Does anyone have an HBT cap or similar (not jeep cap) I can borrow? I was going to grab on online but haven't really been here to do that. I may be able to get one from a shop on Saturday, but just in case...
