Hi folks, just starting down the WW2 route, been playing airsoft for a while though. I live in North East Wales so quite handy for North West games, anyone else from my neck of the woods say hi, would be good to get together to travel to games etc!
I've decided to go for a German army late war Panzergrenadier loadout and I'm slowly gathering kit together - budget permitting (Christmas will help with that!)- I picked up the Men-at-Arms book on the German Army (Western Front) 1943-45 which is a great help, although being almost 40 maybe the Volkssturm would be more appropriate! I've modified an AGM MP40 (fire selector removed and repaint, now in the process of "aging" it) although I fancy a K98k too one day in the distant future.
Looking forward to getting to some games next year and meeting you all!
Martyn.

Hello and welcome, Martin. Have a look at the kit guides for advice, etc. Any questions regarding suppliers, etc, ask away. Osprey books are pretty good, but not always 100% accurate. Panzergrenadiers did not always wear the "wrap" tunic - often they wore regular army tunics.

You've got nothing to ein, zwei, drei, vier
Hi Martyn
You don't need to wait until next year to get along to a game. Our next game is in Bolton and the German side need a few more players.
You really don't need to worry about getting all your kit together before coming to a game. Some of regulars use our 'looks like' rules for kit and we are very relaxed about restricting kit as we are keen to get new players, like yourself, involved.
Do have a look at the thread I've linked to and book up if you can make it. You won't regret it, it's our 2nd Anniversary game and we've got a few treats up our sleeve!
I'm sure Taffy will post on here soon, he runs Ex-Site in Mold so is in your neck of the woods. (You may already know him)
Oh, and welcome!

welcome to the winning side

Wow what a welcome from you all! I can only say a big thankyou for your kind comments - sadly I can't make Unternehmen Herbstnebel due to a prior arrangement
but I WILL be up for any big big games (work permitting) in the new year.
Looking forward to seeing you US guys through my sights, and shaking on a good game well played after!
