just wanted to say hi, looks like a good forum.
i'v got plans to buy an M14 to use and soem uniform kit. i was wondering though, whats teh policy on face masks in relation to the WW2 re-enactment?
watever floats your boat, face shots are just as likly when using "Classic" guns as with an M4 toting hi capping molle freak(Sorry, I dont get the whole thing)
I tend to use a JT/Mesh mask with the viser taken off so its just a pair of goggles.

As Gliderrider says, to an extent it's down to personal preference, but eye protection is a minimum requirement obviously. I wear Guarder C2s and that's it - I personally think wearing FF masks and the like for WW2 softing mitigates against the overall sense of realism and authenticity we ought to be striving for, but others may disagree - ![]()
i agree on the masks richard.
i tend to find at the CIA events people really DONT aim for the face, it happens, but far far less than at other airsoft events.
usually due to accidents , rather than deliberate aiming.
so i find face masks arnt really nessercary.

Welcome Kiddo mate!
I just wear ESS safety specs/goggles. I find FF masks not only unrealistic, but restrictive and too hot.

The only limitations on face protection are down to the site that the games are played at. Some sites have a full-face mask only policy for under 16's (and some, for under 18's)

When we were an Empire it was run by an Empress
Now we're a country we're run by a..........

cool, thats good to know. i'v only ever been and played once at a CQB Scotland site so i'd feel a bit better wearing a full face mask for now. no doubt hat'll change, once i'v got a few more skirmishes under my belt, as the realism side seems like alot of fun and worth the effort.
