Hello guys, I thought I'd finally get round to my first post. I'm Nick from West Sussex, and at 51 I'm certainly going to be one of your older members. Been into WW2 stuff since I was a nipper, never been in the services but I did 3 years in the Army Cadets. Weekend camps, night exercises, mock battles and live firing the schools No4 Lee Enfields and Brens down on the ranges at Gosport. Great fun, I loved it. Certainly the best part of going to a Grammar school in the early 70's.
I stumbled across your site one evening and been hooked ever since! Authentic uniforms, realistic looking weapons, tactics and 330fps fire to get the adrenalin going. I've done quite a bit of paintballing over the years and that's what I always thought was missing from it, no real immersion in the game.
Having decided I probably wasn't too old to get involved, loadout was the next choice. As I've always been interested in the Normandy campaign and Arnhem it was gonna be either British Airborne or Waffen SS. The peadot and MP40 won in the end. The germans were beginning to scrape the barrel a bit then, so I reckon I'll fit in fine. I've been getting some bits of kit together over the last couple of months, and now it's about time to get me arse along to a training day or game. So I'm looking forward to meeting some of you like-minded loons in the near future.

Welcome Razorlight,
Love the Avatar

"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
Welcome to the forum - don't worry about the real age, a mental age of 12 is all you need to fit in perfectly!
*shameless plug * Jerry place still available for the December game if you want to give yourself a pre-Christmas treat.

welcome to the mad house
Hello and welcome
Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Cheers CW for the offer of the last place in December game, but I won't be able to make it. I went up to my local site the other weekend and had a long chat with the guy who runs it. So I'm planning to get 3 games in December and January with them and my members card. So when I get along to a CIA event I should have my own MP4o. I definately fancy doing a K98 springer conversion as well after seeing Boshmans and Sgt Heides superb examples on the weapon section. Anyway thanks again and hope too meet up with some of you in a couple of months.
